Ameritas and Bytes Technology have signed a cooperation agreement to jointly market Byte Technology's products and services in Europe, with particular focus in the UK and the Netherlands.

Bytes Technology develops applications for the financial services industry with particular focus on systems for pensions and insurance. Their flagship product, Interchange, is receiving strong interest. It is a front-end web-based application that enables clients of financial services organisations to operate on a self-service basis across multiple systems. The product features strong multiple systems integration capabilities whilst providing a single interface to the client.

In addition to financial services products, BYtes Technology operate a software factory with a systems integration and development philosophy revolving around Rapid Application Development (RAD).
